
Agata Laydon is the Life Sciences Lead at Google DeepMind’s Impact Accelerator, a team dedicated to harnessing AI to accelerate progress on society’s biggest challenges. She led the collaboration with EMBL-EBI to develop the AlphaFold Database. This work made over 200 million AI-predicted protein structures openly accessible to scientists globally. The AlphaFold Database has enabled new avenues of research, in areas from disease understanding to sustainability.
