
Fabrizio Falchi is a Research Director at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), working at the Institute of Information Science and Technologies (ISTI) in Pisa, where he leads the Computer Vision and Deep Learning research group within the Artificial Intelligence for Multimedia and Humanities (AIMH) laboratory.
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa and a Ph.D. in Informatics from the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University in Brno. He also earned an M.B.A. from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, with which he is currently affiliated.
Dr. Falchi is a member of the Scientific Council of DIITET-CNR and serves as the delegate for the DIITET node within the National Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems (AIIS) of CINI. He has also co-chaired the National Virtual Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence of CNR.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, computer vision, and multimedia information retrieval.
